TRENDMAT is hosting The Neon Tea Party (@theneonteaparty) for a workshop on 2019's hottest trend: Tie Dye! Learn how to prep, tie, dye and wash fabric items to create colorful patterned clothing and decor to last you all summer and beyond!
In this workshop you’ll learn:
How to prep and tie items for dying
How to create different tie dye patterns such as swirl, bullseye, triangle/square fold, and symmetrical designs
How to apply dye and adjust color intensity
How to set and wash your new tie dye items!
We'll supply the dye, you supply whatever you want to dye! Each guest is invited to tie dye TWO ITEMS.
Natural fiber fabrics work best with dye: rayon, cotton and silk are strongly recommended
A white cotton t-shirt is always a good idea. White tote bags will be available for purchase at the event ($5 each)
Other ideas: pillow cases, sweatshirt, white jean shorts, cotton dress, baby onesie, socks
No children please and thank you, this event is for adults. Teens are welcome, as well.
